Our Nurses
Kiama Medical Practice offers the services of our caring team of highly qualified registered nurses. Each of our nurses has experience in a wide range of nursing fields bringing a holistic approach to our patient care. Our nurses also offer an extensive knowledge of integrating patient care with community services.
Nursing care offered in our clinic includes:
- Patient care advice
- Patient triage
- Wound care management
- Childhood and adult immunisations
- Travel advice and immunisation
- INR monitoring
- ECG
- Spirometry and asthma education
- Diabetes monitoring
- Ear syringing
Additional nursing services available:
- A registered nurse is available to attend your home for Aged Care Health Assessments for those aged 75 or older
- Our dedicated chronic disease management nurse is available to work with you to ensure the best possible preventative and ongoing health care
- Department of Veteran's Affairs card holders - we have a nurse to attend your home to conduct care plans and health assessments to assist in disease prevention and active management of ongoing health concerns
- Four of our nurses are fully qualified to conduct our Well Women's clinic including sexual health, cervical screening and breast checks
- Three of our nurses have undertaken further training in order to run our Teen Clinic, providing health and wellbeing advice to adolescents from 14 years.
- All of our nurses are fully accredited immunisers
